Gathering is a co-making, restorative project in the manner of a sewing bee, where people come together to meet, talk, and paint decorative paper, which is then combined into a site-specific work of art. The resulting permanent large-scale work was created in collaboration with over 50 women from the community of Greensboro, NC, who painted together, shared conversations about their visions of health, and contributed photographs of their experiences in health/care.
